The Mother 3 handbook from Fangamer has finally arrived. This 272 page hardcover book contains everything you could wish for in a player guide and a lot more. Levels, stats, enemies and more are distributed through 8 chapters and the book is full of unique illustrations made by four different artists. More info and images on the book and what’s inside can be found on the book’s Fangamer site. That’s not all I got though, I got something unique drawn by the artist Bluecanarykit, a surprisingly heavy Mother 3 key-chain, another pin...

This is a very relaxing game. I think you could consider this a “game”, even though it’s basically a book. A visual novel is a story with a twist; every now and then you will be presented with choices and those choices will mold the story. Also, there’s visuals. You are the main character Hisao Nakai. Your newly discovered heart disease forces you to take medications every day and prevents you from living a normal life. You transfer to a special school for disabled students. At...

This is a useful link. I like to keep that website open in a tab whenever I’m online. It fits nicely with some music. I’m trying out the Blade Runner soundtrack right now. Music make me relax. So does rain. That is probably pretty common. I do however want to be able to create my own music. My mind is full of music, I create my own songs in my head all the time. I do not know how to play an instrument. I will change...

In my most recent dream I finally found out how to run really fast. I have always had problems with running in dreams, always going to slow to get where I want in time. I was running away from someone, and even though I had the ability to run away I suddenly stopped and let my pursuer run past me. Maybe she didn’t want to look stupid, running past me and all, so she just kept running. Maybe there was no need to run in...

I, like everyone else, encounter many hard mathematical problems on a daily basis. Carrying around a Game Boy is easy, but what if you need a calculator on the go? A calculator weighs a lot and you look like a dork if you suddenly whip out a calculator in public. But Nintendo figured out a way to make you look rad while also having a spare brain in your pocket. The Calculator Boy is an official Nintendo product from 1992 and even has it’s own...

Got this neat LP from the Swedish Ebay. Puss were among the first chiptune artists I ever heard and their simple songs are still among my favorites. Wikipedia: Puss are a musical duo formed in Stockholm in 2001. They play live bitpop using two old-school chubby Game Boys and the Little Sound DJ tracker. Their name comes from the Swedish word puss meaning “small kiss”. The duo consist of LayDJ (aka Josefin Karlsson) and Tobi-Wan (aka Tobias von Hofsten). They released their first album, entitled We Are Puss, in 2001. Since that time...

I bet you’ll never guess what I got in the mail today. Oh, you guessed it? Well you’re right, it’s a brand new Game Boy Printer. And it’s not the regular grey box you usually see, this one is yellow and black with a Pokémon Theme. The best part is that the “Feed”-button is a pokéball. It’s working but i might need to find new paper for it since the printing is a bit shitty. Read on for a bunch of pictures of the printer!

Recently I bought a used french version of the Mega Memory Card, this one only differs from the ordinary yellow transparent version that is more common in that it is black and not transparent. This little(big) thing has the ability to backup saves from any Game Boy game and store it. You can then put the saves back into games. I’m using this cartridge to backup the save file from my Game Boy Camera and then restoring the save into my 64MB EMS USB cartridge...
